A group I belong to on Facebook shares ideas and helps members to be better photographers and business owners. Recently, a challenge idea was shared and I thought that it sounded kind of crazy, but after a couple of questions were answered, I realized that it could work. I mulled on it for a bit and when it was time to push to get my information and table ready for the Women2Women's Spring Expo, I realized I wanted to do this and made it my focus at the Expo. Just chatting here about this is sending bubbles up my nerves.
My challenge is to photograph 30 women in 30 days and today I will start scheduling sessions to begin on Monday. I had an amazing turnout of women who signed up for this project. Yes, they get a session and a complimentary matted 8x10, but they are going to get so much more in return. I plan to hold a public gallery showing of the images, but there is more. I'm working out the details and will make an announcement once the sessions are well under way. I will blog about each model after each session so you could be a part of this path I took.
Although these images were on my last blog post, it is also the beginning of this project.
